The Digital NP Binder Is Being Redesigned

The previous version of the Digital NP Binder has been retired.

When I created the original Binder, the goal was to provide practical clinical references that nurse practitioners and clinicians could quickly reference during patient visits.

Over time, I realized there was an opportunity to make it even more useful—not by simply adding more pages, but by rethinking how the information was organized.

Rather than releasing another edition of the original Binder, I'm redesigning it from the ground up.

What's Changing?

The new Digital NP Binder is being organized around the way primary care clinicians work through common patient encounters.

Many of the clinical references are being redesigned into consistent, easy-to-follow frameworks that walk through topics such as:

  • Red flags

  • Differential diagnosis

  • Focused history

  • Physical exam

  • Workup

  • Initial treatment & management

  • Follow-up and referral considerations

The Binder will also continue to include practical resources for common visit types, documentation, billing and coding, medication management, and other high-yield primary care topics.

The goal isn't to create a larger reference—it's to create one that's easier to navigate and more practical to use in clinic.

There's no release date just yet.

I'm taking the time to rebuild the Binder thoughtfully rather than rushing out another version.

Looking for a Free Cheat Sheet from an Older Video?

If you found one of my older YouTube videos, podcast episodes, or blog posts, you may have heard me mention a free downloadable cheat sheet.

Those PDFs were created between 2019 and 2020, when Real World NP was just getting started. At the time, I created individual cheat sheets to accompany many of my educational videos.

As the library grew, I realized I couldn't responsibly keep dozens of separate clinical references updated as guidelines changed and new evidence became available.

Rather than leave outdated clinical resources online, I made the decision to retire those individual downloads.

Many of those references are being updated and incorporated into the redesigned Digital NP Binder so they can be maintained over time.

I know that may be disappointing if you were hoping to download a free copy from an older video, but I'd rather provide a resource I can keep current than leave outdated clinical information available.
